The objective of SQUADS is the same as that of all Salvation Army programs and activities:  the salvation and nurture of souls to the honor and glory of God. This objective, then, is both evangelistic and educational. Our "Orders and Regulations" points this out by noting three specific aims:

• To induce individuals to submit their lives to God and to embrace the salvation provided for them in Christ.
• To bring the individual to the point of acceptance of God the Father as King, in obedience to His Laws.
• In keeping with this objective, SQUADS exists for the purpose of reaching out to persons who are unable to, or do not traditionally attend, regular Salvation Army Sunday School.
